🌩️It's been an active weekend with heavy rain and #thunderstorms affecting large swathes of the UK ☔️Check out this video of a funnel cloud developing around Wrexham captured by one of our forecasters this morning (21st July 2025)
We were treated to more cloudscapes yesterday 😍 Photo taken by one of our forecasters in Bucks, UK

Some very heavy and slow moving showers have developed this afternoon - particularly over the Pennines Showers continuing into the early evening before easing off 🌩️
Unsettled through the next few days, with sharp #showers, #thunderstorms and longer spells of #rain at times. Areas of thundery rain will move up from the south overnight on Friday, and will continue through Saturday - this bringing torrential downpours and lightning strikes.
The third heatwave of the year arrives today with temperatures heading into the low-30s Celsius by Saturday with plenty of sunshine. Another fine day on Sunday before cooler and more showery weather arrives for Monday. Looking unsettled into next week... #summer #ukweather

As it heats up through the rest of this week, the laundry drying index will become extremely good 😍 Take a look at the maps below for how it's looking between today and Friday ☀️ #laundrydryingindex #ukweather

A great outlook for warm weather fans as temps rise 5-6C above the climate average by Friday. Between Friday and Monday, temps will likely exceed 30C across C/S England, with temps in the high 20s C elsewhere. More uncertainty into next week when the heat will breakdown...
