At the con again noticing this trend of “childlike style, adult themes” art (almost always drawn by women). Feels a little like arrested development: art for teens (leaving childhood, struggling with adulthood), but lingering way too long, and being embraced by adults.

I accept that artists are often weird but I wish I could tell all these artists at this con that alt-sexuality is no longer edgy and that it makes them look interchangeable rather than quirky and special. 😔

There's an emotional fallacy that goes "if you aren't reacting the way I would, you're not experiencing the thing I am." Is there a name for that? It's behind so many misunderstandings. I suppose it's a subset of theory of mind, but there should be a specific term for it.
