I can’t stand this fandom’s obsession with being fake-deep. How exactly does Cersei murdering Robert, committing adultery, or having an abortion reinforce the patriarchy? And in what way are these choices “illusionary” or “shallow”?
The great joke being played on Cersei is that her efforts to break away from the gender-norms imposed on her only help to re-inforce the same patriarchal structure. All her "rebellions" are illusionary and shallow at best. Patriarchy thrives under women like Cersei.
