releasing dbpill dot com - automated SQL indexer in my experience most growing startups aren't diligent with their indexing & it leads to wasting many $100Ks on read replicas, caching, queues & microservice complexities i productized how i solve the issue (link below)

Why do video models handle motion so poorly? It might be lack of motion equivariance. Very excited to introduce: Flow Equivariant RNNs (FERNNs), the first sequence models to respect symmetries over time. Paper: arxiv.org/abs/2507.14793 Blog: kempnerinstitute.harvard.edu/research/deepe… 1/🧵
is everyone using GRPO or equivalent for doing reasoning RL with tool use? all labs are just scaling up compute and doing the exact same thing?
one hypothesis could be that having two separate representation spaces with a low bandwidth communication channel in between forces them to find good compressible abstractions. not so much to do with MoE or adversarial type separation of concerns
all complex brains in nature: have hemispheres people building neural nets: it's probably nothing
looks good
Today we're excited to share a glimpse of what we're building at Generalist. As a first step towards our mission of making general-purpose robots a reality, we're pushing the frontiers of what end-to-end AI models can achieve in the real world. Here's a preview of our early…

i want realtime audio bot UX to run reasoning in the background and correct what it said earlier if reasoning response differs

people who think of picking baby genes and instantly think height, eye color are Not thinking you need a chill baby who sleeps well and that stuff's mostly genetic. that's the real solution to the population collapse. just ask any new parent when they're thinking of a sibling
