My neighbors have heard me yell "I'm gonna kill myself" in three different languages all day. I'm did the Horizon Zero Dawn Hunting Ground trophies. 🤡
One of the biggest problems is that a lot of people in the replies of this are still doing the "I think its okay if freak art like x gets banned, but not my UwU wholesome anthro dog sex art," which is entirely why we are in this place to begin with. People wont learn.
Here is a list of *WORDS* that are flagged by payment processors. Mentioning these words is enough to cause issues with someones payment processor. This is only only what we are made aware of for now. The list grows yearly. I wonder if e621 is in a panic yet?

Over 250,000 people oppose the government's overreach, already used to curb political speech.
How are things going to work in a few years when there is a major shortage of skilled and experienced people in every field because we decided we don’t need junior people in any field?
A partner at a prominent law firm told me “AI is now doing work that used to be done by 1st to 3rd year associates. AI can generate a motion in an hour that might take an associate a week. And the work is better. Someone should tell the folks applying to law school right now.”
People are missing the bigger picture in regards to censorship. The UK just set off the powder keg for the next huge wave of censorship and people are still squabbling about which fiction is more righteous to goon to. You won't have anything at all if this keeps up!
Online age verification is like giving your ID to the bartender except the bartender gets to keep an exact copy of your ID for a significant period of time(months, possibly years, maybe even forever) and anybody who breaks into the bar can steal your ID.
ID verification for websites is flawed because when you have to show ID in real life it tends to just involve a person looking at it for 2 seconds with their own eyeballs before it goes right back into your wallet, instead of being scanned and uploaded to god knows where.
Everybody is talking about the porn ban but nobody is discussing the literal fact that the government has already extended the censorship to cover multiple SFW hobby spaces, multiple sites discussing quitting smoking/drinking and are actively looking at ways to censor Wikipedia.
Wait you actually have to submit your ID to access anything *potentially* 18+ online in the UK now? The same day of the Tea hack? Oh boy.
It's very telling that a AAA game like Yakuza 0, which has major plot revolving around a sex trafficking & rape survivor, wouldn't pass these guidelines if it were sold via @itchio. As always, small creators are held to standards never imposed on big companies.
Itchio quietly added these new guidelines on content for the site. Massive blow to adult creators. Adding this silently is yet another PR SNAFU
Any censorship is bad. Locking websites behind ID verification is crazy. Mastercard and Visa controlling which games we play is awful. Fuck this endless puritanical bullshit.
Censorship of any type of art is one of the most dangerous actions that can become normalized. It is worrying that, given the current situation, those who should be most against it see it as something good, all under the excuse of moral superiority
