Setting the record straight on New Jersey’s energy dilemma. njbiz.com/pjm-nj-electri…
Amazing that the DOGE guys have access to the world's best LLMs and instead they're looking for woke stuff with CTRL-F
This is hot garbage. I’m sorry. Just wow. Prices are high bc power plants are closing while demand is skyrocketing due to data center growth. PJM isn’t “blocking” anything. All the solar in the queue can come online tomorrow and it won’t solve this issue.
If you were appalled by your utility bill this month, you’re not alone. New Jerseyans are bearing the brunt of failures by our grid operator, PJM. And today, we found out they’re raising rates again. Here’s how I’ll address PJM’s mismanagement and lower your utilities 🧵1/13
To me, wind turbines look awesome. They certainly look better than fossil plants, but I don’t see you commenting on those. When it comes to US energy, our decisions should not be based on how “pretty” a technology looks. Goodness gracious. 🙄
On the one side we have dems taking untenable positions on e.g., care for minors, on the other, we have GOP’s insane rudeness and worse to someone just living their lives and writing about economics. WHERE ARE THE ADULTS IN THE ROOM??
So: The Dispatch hired a brilliant economics writer who I've been following for a long time who has less than 50,000 followers on X. Because she's trans, they got dogpiled with hate/cancellations, her kids got doxxed by Babylon Bee, and it's so bad on X she's leaving.
But, I thought we were unleashing US energy dominance??? This administration is a joke.
At a moment of rapid demand growth and a growing electricity affordability crisis, the Republican's One Big Horrible Bill will RAISE TAXES on the only new sources of electricity we are able to rapidly add to the US grid in four different ways.
It’s disgusting when dem lawmakers are targeted. It’s disgusting when Trump is targeted. It’s disgusting when CEOs are targeted. It’s all disgusting. There’s no “yes, but..” It’s disgusting.
I am horrified by the targeted shootings of Minnesota Sen. John Hoffman and Rep. Melissa Hortman. My heart is with their families during this unimaginable tragedy. We must stand united, Democrats and Republicans, and make clear that political violence has no place in our…
Very heartened that many Dems aren’t defending the violent rioters this time around. Stop drawing attention to yourselves and away from the injustice!! It’s not “righteous”. It’s stupid.
I unapologetically stand for free speech, peaceful demonstrations, and immigration—but this is not that. This is anarchy and true chaos. My party loses the moral high ground when we refuse to condemn setting cars on fire, destroying buildings, and assaulting law enforcement.
You know, I hope it reminds people that the best way to make an impact is by becoming immigration attorneys, not setting cars on fire. Rioting accomplished 0 in 2020 and will accomplish 0 here. It’s actually a net negative bc it diverts attention away from the actual awful thing.
I hope, if nothing else, what's going on in LA will remind the nation's young people that true rebelliousness is not saying slurs that HR told you not to say, it's fighting fascists who are using state power to suppress speech & impose violence on marginalized groups.
Fewer activists have done less for the people they purport to help while causing more harm to their fellow citizens than the western Free Palestine movement.
When you repeat slogans like “globalize the intifada,” you are inciting violence against Jews in the United States and around the world. The danger of incitement is no abstraction. It became tragically real on the night of May 21st, when a virulent antisemite—shouting “Free…
The interview @ezraklein did with @RepMGP was frustrating. There was a lot of “don’t make people feel less-than for their choices while I make you feel less-than for your choices.” Not the way forward for Dems.
Solar surpassing coal in PJM for (maybe?) the first time! Coal, in purple, is at 11.2GW.

This is an example of “globalizing the intifada”. Are the idiots chanting this while blocking random road happy?
Update: The suspect who tried to murder Pennsylvania’s Dem Governor and his family told the police he was doing it due to what Shapiro “wants to do to the Palestinian people”
Impossible to implement, blatantly illegal and a massive waste of time should be this administration’s tagline
hitting the trade press now, w/ a choice quote from @AriPeskoe: “impossible to implement, blatantly illegal, creates massive amounts of unnecessary work, and just makes no sense.” @TysonSlocum signaling that Public Citizen will challenge. TBD if this EO is more smoke than fire!
It doesn’t matter because tariffs are good and should be there, unless they’re a negotiating tactic, unless they’re not, then they’re good when imposed and kept, unless counties want to negotiate, unless we want to keep them to raise revenue, unless
People talk about this like only “luxury items” will be more expensive, rather than *everything* since the tariffs are on *everything*. When Trump worship mixes with economic illiteracy…
I don’t care if the price of your Nintendo Switch 2 goes up $20. I voted to reverse this:
The guy who hasn’t stopped whining about every slight and insult ever directed at him thinks it’s totally weird that Zelensky talks too much about the guy who ordered the murder and rape of thousands of his countrymen.
BREAKING: Trump says Zelensky needs to: ”stop talking about Putin this and Putin that. All negative things”
