DPhil student @Uniofoxford studying #endometriosis at the single-cell level. Passionate about making science accessible to everyone 🔬
Listen to the teaser episode of our podcast that marks the end of #EndometriosisAwarenessMonth this year. But we should talk about #endometriosis all year round, so more episodes will follow 🎧
What causes #endometriosis? Why is it so painful? Will there ever be a cure? Together with @magda_mareckova, we've produced ‘Unheard of’, a podcast series that seeks answers to the biggest questions posed by the endometriosis community. rb.gy/zgxa40 (1/5)
📢Excited to share our work on @biorxivpreprint "Spatiotemporal map of the developing human reproductive tract at single-cell resolution"! Beyond grateful to our amazing team @ceci_icoresi @LuzGarAl @roserventotormo @MarioniLab and collaborators for their contributions. 🧵[1/10]
So excited to see our work on mapping human trophoblast in early pregnancy out in @Nature! I had the privilege of working alongside @krobertssci, @ktroule, @fredwck, @MSheridan226 and an incredible team on one of the coolest tissues @sangerinstitute nature.com/articles/s4158…
Amazing work from @magda_mareckova and colleagues, and an incredible contribution to our understanding of the human endometrium. Read more 🔽 @Ox_wrh @sangerinstitute
Globally, millions of individuals are affected by endometrial / uterine disorders, yet the #endometrium and the role of its #cellular #heterogeneity in these disorders have been hugely understudied compared with other human tissues and diseases.
The inner lining of the uterus, the endometrium, has been mapped during multiple phases of the menstrual cycle 🔎 Researchers have uncovered diverse cell types and processes, including some that may have a role in conditions such as #endometriosis sanger.ac.uk/news_item/huma…
What an honour to attend and present at #WCE2023 about our #SingleCellGenomics research in #endometriosis. Wonderful congress, inspiring talks, and incredible people to talk to! Loved being back to beautiful #Edinburgh, where my passion for #ReproductiveBiology was once sparked💥
A scientist and a science communicator!👩🔬 🧪 @magda_mareckova While talking about #singlecell sequencing in #endometriosis, Magda first breaks it down—what even is transcriptomics? #WCE2023 @WorldEndoSoc
1/10 Largest GWAS meta-analysis of #endometriosis demonstrates shared genetic basis with multiple pain and inflammatory conditions. Our paper is now out at Nature Genetics @NatureGenet (nature.com/articles/s4158…).
Being the one asking questions while producing #Unheardof - the hidden voices of #endometriosis podcast series with @dperro_wrh was fun!🎙️Now let's👂how it goes when I'm the one being asked🫣Talking about #endometriosis & #research with @BBCOxford #EndometriosisAwarenessMonth👇
Tune into @BBCOxford Saturday morning to hear @magda_mareckova at 7.10 and @KrinaZondervan at 8.10 talk to @Brucey1 about #endometriosis #EndometriosisAwarenessMonth @Ox_wrh
This is truly a historic day for our country. Thank you to the Scottish parliament and lawmakers – but more importantly, thank you to every single one of you who has campaigned. Our fight is not yet over. #Scotland #HeyGirls #PeriodPoverty bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotla…
Congratulations to all authors, especially @LuzGarAl, @vlorenzi3, @ceci_icoresi and @roserventotormo! Very happy to see this beautiful and exciting study published in @Nature today!!🤩 This is something to definitely add to your 'papers-to-read' list for the coming days 📖
Thrilled and proud to share that our study on human gonadal development is now out in @nature! Incredible teamwork led by @LuzGarAl, @vlorenzi3 and @ceci_icoresi. A little thread below Single-cell roadmap of human gonadal development disq.us/t/48z7i8i
