Today felt like India is truly on fire. We’re not stopping for anything. We’re arriving. And there’s no regrets. In a room full of industrialists and bureaucrats, I felt technology-first take precedence over being the cheapest. Ask anyone in manufacturing. That’s huge.
Are you a hardware founder allergic to SaaS? You belong to our tribe! Finally, a network of hardware investors & Government of Tamil Nadu has teamed up in Madras!
Manufacturing is easy. You just slap AI onto robots and chill on your beach house in the Bahamas.
Kindly refrain from keyboard ninja analysis of manufacturing like most VCs are doing (& trying to slap AI everywhere. It’s not duct tape goddamit) If you’re looking for a mature conversation & analysis as a VC about manufacturing talk to folks like @siddharthshahx @alysha_lobo
Why can’t you just get a metered fee in the auto & have that panel NCMC enabled so payment is snappy.
The next revolution won’t be soft. It’ll be made of metal. #Manufacturing
The real answer to would you rather get stuck in traffic in an autorickshaw or in a Maybach is I’d rather not get stuck in traffic. Not getting stuck in traffic is true wealth. Also, Delhi aaj kya traffuck hai bhai.

Delhi roads are just 1 level below Gandhinagar roads. The better thing is cheap connectivity everywhere.
This single card has helped me travel smoothly across cities in India. NCMC is the way to go! Would be amazing when the bus & last-mile integration drops.

Caught an early morning flight in Vadodara. Time to airport : less than 15mins. From South Baroda. The other end of town. And pretty robust connectivity for a Tier-2.
I see manufacturing on YC list and I dig deep and it’s still software lmao.
If you are not prepared to walk away from a negotiation, you’re not negotiating. You’re pleading.
Started with The Whole Truth’s new plant protein (double cocoa) recently It has a weird sweet taste. Anyone else experienced this? I remember the whey one (Cold Coffee) was pretty good
This is exactly why real conversations around Make in India don’t move forward. We don’t explain. We pretend to know it all. If you’ve ever built in India, you’d know Assembled is often the first painful step toward Made. Mocking ignorance doesn’t push Make in India…
Just because you’ve worked with shitty manufacturers does not mean India has shitty manufacturing. I could’ve just as easily bumped into a shitty manufacturer from China.
What do you see when you google "Titan Additive"? Share a screenshot so I can understand.
This is what it requires to make one piece of plastic at scale. Anon, do you still have balls to build a profitable hardware product?
"Why is it so expensive to make molds in USA?" Exhibit 1: an extremely simple 2-part mold.
