Twitter has been amazing in my scientific career. I've enjoyed posting about my research, learning about what others are up to, and developing new collaborations and links. Sadly my X feed simply isn't nearly as good so you can find me on linkedin... linkedin.com/in/leholman/
BioRender finally made some changes to their license conditions and now claim their product is compatible with Open Access. Sorry to say that these conditions are legally invalid and don't fix anything. 1/
@BioRender seems to have listened to the twitter discourse and changed their terms accordingly? @ShizAoki Note: I haven't read the updated terms, but did get this email.
My photo of a native oyster bed featured in last Friday's @IrishTimes piece by @freyamcc on the very exciting Belfast Lough @UlsterWildlife project. Hopefully illustrates what I mean when I say oysters are more than just food. #restorenature #biodiversity irishtimes.com/environment/cl…
Recent species introductions present unique opportunities to study key aspects of the invasion process 🌊 👉 However, comprehensive information on how and when non-indigenous species are first intro-duced remains rare.
Just published @BioInvasions a morphogenetic study showing the early stages of the introduction in Europe of a marine non-indigenous species that can attain amongst the highest benthic biomass per surface area ever reported: rdcu.be/dOotd

Sat down at my text 20 minutes ago and already have my first paper rejection of 2024. Reviewer 2: "Bioinformatic analyses are just like colorful bubbles which look beautiful but may not be real"
