For years, X has systematically shadow-banned my posts & scrubbed most of the Likes from tweets I shared. “Freedom of speech, but not freedom of reach,” indeed.
If you’re that scared of people with differing views being less censored, it could suggest that deep down, you know that those who aren’t in your echo chamber of exclusively like-minded people may actually have something to offer on issues where your take is flawed or incomplete.
Has it occurred to either of the two parties in this sick duopoly that within a decade, much of Africa will have superior infrastructure to the United States, because China will have “invaded” them by helping them build, instead of bombing them into rubble & installing dictators?
My personal rule for pharmaceuticals is to wait at least 10 years to find out what the side-effects are, because these they do such lousy initial human trials before getting FDA approval that WE are the real human trials
Just sayin’: the real Wonder Woman would have seen the plight of the Palestinian people & fought to liberate them from apartheid. Deport me, cowards.
Gonna be a long couple months, with Blinken standing in as de-facto Commander in Chief, & Kamala doing wine rants about not giving up. Meanwhile, Biden was last seen walking into the jungle on a vision quest, disappearing amongst the vegetation like Ray Liotta in Field of Dreams.
Even if you feel awful about the election results, please don’t shun everyone who voted for Trump. Talk to them; if you differ on an issue, try to persuade them of your view. They are mostly caring people, who thought they were doing the right thing.
The question for Israel now is: do you really want to have all of your infrastructure destroyed in a short amount of time, just so you can show multiple countries who’s boss? You’re the size of New Jersey, FFS; does anybody in your government have any common sense?
In light of the past 6 months, I briefly considered demoting the U.S. to “Second-most-evil country,” but then I remembered that unilateral American support is the whole reason Israel has gotten away with flagrant crimes against humanity for decades.
It’s weird to live in the most evil country
I’d love to share The Critical Drinker’s ‘Everything Everywhere’ video essay, but it’s full of spoilers & I could see curious people clicking to get a feel for this gem of a film, so I’m posting his April 1 announcement that he has decided to quit YouTube. youtu.be/LW0yhZgqBic?si…
One reason that the worst war criminals on Earth are so obsessed with imposing authoritarian rule is that if the global power balance were to shift toward democracy and human rights, they would all end up on trial at the Hague. I don’t buy this #MisunderstoodHumanitarians act…
I’m shadow-banned, so almost no one will see this anyway— and those who do come across it will have their likes removed within a day or two. That’s what you get for opposing the Empire. Anyway, it seemed important to say.
The United States and Israel have just perpetrated a holocaust (past tense—the damage is done, from mass killings to imposing a famine). Despite getting a pass on innumerable war crimes, there’s no coming back from this one; both countries will be pariah states, around the world.
