I just had a post from Henry. He said he’d never seen anything as nasty or as offensive as my repurposing of icons in his entire life. He’s a Catholic and entitled to his opinion, but I can think of a lot of things far more offensive than my work.

Sometimes it’s the commonplace that’s most in danger of disappearing. The Marsh tit, the starlit sky, a clean river. If you can , get out in nature. Maybe see if she needs a helping hand? Maybe pick up some plastic from a beach. Practice leaving only 👣& tell her you love her
I’m just completely in love with this on so many levels
Feng Tsan-Huang, an artist based in Taiwan, has dedicated over three decades to crafting kites, and one of his creations takes the form of a bicycle.
Sunday has arrived again. The day of rest. I hope wherever you are, you can stretch yourself out like a hare on a sunny day and take time leisurely to contemplate the world and your place in it. Just to sit and do nothing is a luxury. So if you get the chance, take it.
Always nice to get good feedback from clients who’ve commissioned a piece of art

First bird of the day. A raven cronking outside my open bedroom window. Here’s one I painted on a cradled gesso panel with a silver leaf sky.

Open studio exhibition coming soon. Pop in and meet the artists (including meeee)

I went out the back to go to the laundry. There were so many butterflies I thought I would film them on my phone but then I got distracted
At the end of another day, with a few more days to go
Here’s a beautiful Hare, a work in progress, for a peaceful moment in your morning. Stretching out her long back before she settles down to sleep in the sunshine. This piece will be in my September exhibition. I’ve watched many a hare in my time doing just this

While taking the dog out on an extendable lead this morning for an early morning wee, this young wren flew over and perched for a moment on the taut extended lead. Realising what she had done, she promptly flew away. I watched her hunting over the bench for her breakfast 💛💛💛💛
I listen to a lot of crime fiction. In the car, in the studio and in bed. So pretty much everywhere. I like a good puzzle. It started when I owned a second hand bookshop. I devoured the golden age classics. This is by far the best book I’ve come across in ages. I’m cross it’s…

A work in progress, this #barnowl shrine will be in my September exhibition. There was a lot of owl activity last night. I always enjoy being kept awake by noisy owls. (Tawny owls being the culprits).
A fifteen minute walk on our land this morning with Bryn revealed a pretty selection of birds. Happiest to see the spotted flycatcher has stuck around. I hope he found a mate. All the finches are doing well thanks to the scrub and late cutting of meadows.( still uncut) so loads…

6 jars of marmalade & 1 of strawberry jam…..skiving off from the studio to practice the alchemy of sugar & fruit. I can also happily say that we are now self sufficient in electricity so I can boil bake & roast to my heart’s desire without worrying about the bills.

Don’t let the darkness swallow you up. #BarnOwl #Shrine

Did you know flowers can tell time? 🌼🕰️ In the 1700s, botanist Carl Linnaeus dreamed up a “flower clock” made of plants that open and close at specific hours of the day. 🌸💡 Imagine a garden where blooms unfold like clock hands—dandelions at 8 a.m., goat’s beard by noon, and…
Hello Monday morning. First bird of the day. A blackbird! Here painted on a twig of Hawthorn painted on cradled gesso panel. Available now should you be interested. Wishing you a fabulous new week

Truly delighted to find wood betony growing in our once-upon-a-time lawn. This will not only protect our house and us from all bad things but the list of uses for this herb are endless! A birthday gift from nature 🙌🏻
