An act of kindness for two lucky Oilers fans is getting a lot of attention. The two stepbrothers were out shopping when they got the surprise of a lifetime that ended with them being at Game 2 of the 2025 Stanley Cup final. .@lisamacgregor explains. globalnews.ca/video/11229696…
One year ago, a wildfire tore through Jasper and changed lives forever. Since then, I’ve waited for the chance to return and tell the deeper story: How the fire was managed, what’s happened since, what hasn’t. Here’s a preview of my independent doc: vm.tiktok.com/ZMS7HHRRu/
“Crown Jewel in Ashes: Jasper One Year After the Fire” is an independent documentary I produced, shot, wrote, and edited entirely on my own. This is not affiliated with any media outlet. Please watch and share. Link to full documentary : youtube.com/watch?v=FRAV8s…

What do you think of this makeshift bus stop due to construction in Edmonton? Unsafe and worth a story or no, it’s fine? #yeg #ets
Residents in west Edmonton's Parkview and Crestwood areas are getting fed up with increased crime and disorder in the mature neighbourhoods long known for being quiet and desirable to live in. #yeg trib.al/Gy2a7fB
Love this! #Blockbuster in #yeg The best nostalgia is renting movies at the video store
I’m back in Jasper as residents return and this is a wild sight. A guy lost his home along with the entire block but somehow his red 1975 Corvette Stingray on his driveway was untouched.
Here’s looking at you, @kevinoweather ! It’s the iconic @GlobalEdmonton weather man’s last day! It has been one heck of a wonderful ride co-hosting the weekend morning show with you pal. What a blast. Cheers to your retirement! 🥰

So cool to hear. It’s amazing the reach the iconic #BBC has. Thanks so much for the note and letting me know 🤗
@lisamacgregor heard you on BBC, which I listen to when I can’t sleep. Excellent summary of the Jasper fire situation. Good work, lady.
Jasper National Park says damage within the townsite is estimated at around 30%. Out of a total of 1113 structures within the town of Jasper, 358 have been destroyed. All critical infrastructure was successfully protected.

The wildfire has reached Jasper and Parks Canada has confirmed multiple structures in the mountain town are impacted. Sources have confirmed to Global News Maligne Lodge is one of the buildings on fire. @LisaMacGregor has this update from the national park. #yeg #Jasper #Abfire
Some photos from inside Jasper taken this morning by crew members from Woodlands County.
This was from last night right in Jasper National Park. It went pitch black for about two hours at 6 p.m. and then it was light again, before it started pouring rain instead of ash from wildfires
#Alberta premier Danielle Smith says potentially 30-50% of the town of #Jasper’s structures are damaged
Just spoke with a Jasper resident that left town at 2 AM this morning. This is a photo he took of his friend’s house burning on west side of Jasper @GlobalEdmonton
