This week we hosted some of our local council group support officers. We had some interesting discussions around Section 114 notices, ageing population and the crisis in social care, apprenticeships and the Devolution Bill. Thank you to the LGA staff who gave presentations.

Something completely different - a trip to Windsor Castle this week to receive an OBE for "services to the community in North London and to education." It's been a privilege to volunteer in NW6 and as a school governor for many years, but the recognition is nice too!

Speaking up at full Council today. I'm pleased that Belmont Road was cleared of weeds last week, but now is the time to check the safety of the corroded and disintegrating railings, which are there to protect pedestrians.

Today I spoke to my amendments to the Planning Bill to make it easier, faster and cheaper for people without driveways to be able to charge an Electric Vehicle through cross pavement solutions.

Once again, Labour-run Southwark tops the charts for housing complaints. Only the Liberal Democrats have a plan to fix the housing department and put residents first – with transparency, accountability, and respect.
