Avg (American) commute is ~30 min, so ~1 hour/workday, x260 workdays/year = ~32 workdays/year of time dedicated to work that's not paid (opportunity cost). ~1 month/year/employee. 136M Americans commute. Avg monthly income: $6228. Total cost, ~$850B/yr. Is my math wrong? 🤔
