The line-up for the 2025 Venice Film Festival will be announced tomorrow. What films are you hoping to see on the line-up?
If Dunkirk grossed about $540million, why would Oppenheimer be capped at just $400million? Tenet,an original film, opened during peak COVID with half the marketing and still pulled in $360million. Both films ultimately bolstered each other’s box office not one more than the other
can we all be honest? oppenheimer wouldn't have been as successful as it was if it weren't for barbenheimer phenomenon. it earned almost $1 billion. a standalone release would have fetched 300-400 million at most.
Given the film's premise and the person serving as Venice jury president this year, it's honestly a good thing ‘After the hunt’ is playing out of competition. If they had won something with that president, knowing how that third act plays out. I would’ve been so peeved.
It’s being announced in alphabetical order of the director’s surname. No ‘The drama’ at Venice.
The way she was my first choice for who I thought would end up being the recast.
