Now available @eLife: elifesciences.org/reviewed-prepr… 🎉 Stay tuned for our revision 🤗
🚀 NEW PREPRINT ALERT🚀 I am beyond excited to finally announce that my first first-author paper is now available as a preprint: osf.io/preprints/psya… We show how hunger state affects the cognitive processes underlying dietary choice. 1/n
Glorious day. The Behavioral Network Science: Language, Mind, and Society is now available. Thanks for waiting and thanks to all you network scientists and other scientists who made the project a joy to work on. TOC and code at thomasthills.github.io/BehavioralNetw….
🚨NEW PAPER🚨 Proud and excited to see this paper out in print @PNASNews @dirkuwulff and I asked ourselves: How do people search for information before making a choice? We analyzed over 1M information-search decisions to answer that. Open access: doi.org/10.1073/pnas.2… 1/9
🎉New preprint out led by @PabloLenVillag1! We use random generation as a way to elicit people's beliefs. This is as accurate as other elicitation methods, but it can be used in non-numeric domains. Check it out here osf.io/687au
Our work on the interplay of perceptual and economic decision-making is now out in @eLife as a reviewed preprint: elifesciences.org/reviewed-prepr… By @PrashantiGanesh Radek Cichy @nico_schuck @carstenfinke and myself @CCNBerlin @CMDNLab Stay tuned for our next preprint w\ pupil data
Our latest preprint on "Adaptive integration of perceptual and reward information in an uncertain world": biorxiv.org/content/10.110… This work shows the dynamics of reward-based learning under perceptual uncertainty
Dear friends, I am extremely happy to inform you about a workshop that Professors Ulrike Hahn and Vera Kempe and me (with the support of Scibeh) have been organizing for almost two years now and it is finally here!
Attending #SNE2024? Come find me and my poster on the role of attention in choice architecture for promoting sustainable behavior at the Consumer Neuroscience Satellite Symposium on Thursday or at Poster Session 3 on Sunday! 🇵🇹
Gino's case against us has been dismissed. Scientists cannot effectively sue other scientists for exposing fraud/errors in their work. Those who work to correct the scientific record can sleep better tonight. Those who don’t want it corrected, well, I don’t care how they sleep.
We had a fantastic time at our first lab retreat at the North Sea Coast in Büsum! Besides catching up on our research projects, we discussed challenges in modeling, the future of our field and lab, and career opportunities in science. Thanks to all for this great experience! 🌅
✅New Paper (with @SebastianGluth ) is now available online (frontiersin.org/journals/behav…) Here, we review the cognitive models incorporating eye-movement data and outline their assumptions and predictions about the interactions between visual attention, options, and choices. 👀💡
🥳 Excited to announce that the R package "samplr" developed by Lucas Castillo, Adam N Sanborn, and me, has just been published! It is a tool for simulating the process of mental sampling and decisions. Feel free to try it, and let us know your thoughts! cran.r-project.org/web/packages/s…
