Liverpool Licensing Officers whilst on duty at John Lennon Airport, discovered this Wolverhampton PHV with two illegal tyres. There is no excuse for not checking the road worthiness/safety of your vehicle before starting work. The driver will be reported for the offences!

Liverpool Licensing Officers conducted a test purchase operation last night targeting private hire vehicles that illegally ply for hire. 5 drivers of the 33 vehicles approached took the officers without a booking and will be reported for summons for offences of no Ins and PFH
Liverpool Licensing Enforcement Officers with colleagues from Parking Services last night continued to target inconsiderate motorists parking their vehicles on Taxi Ranks. A total of 40 Penalty Charge Notices were issued during the evening.

Liverpool Licensing Enforcement Officers conducted a joint operation with colleagues from Parking Services over the weekend, targeting inconsiderate motorists who had parked their vehicles on Taxi Ranks. A total of 37 Penalty Charge Notices were issued. Taxi Ranks are for Taxis!

Liverpool Licensing Enforcement Officers have been working alongside colleagues from Parking Services again this evening targeting vehicles parked on Taxi Ranks in the City Centre. A total of 38 tickets were issued. Taxi Ranks must be kept clear for Taxis to operate from!

Liverpool Licensing Officers with colleagues from Parking Services this evening conducted an enforcement operation in relation to illegally parked vehicles on Taxi Ranks in the City Centre. A total of 34 tickets were issued over the evening. Taxi Ranks are for Taxis!

Liverpool Licensing Enforcement Officers on Friday evening had cause to speak to a Wolverhampton PHV driver operating in the city centre and discovered that his vehicle had this illegal tyre - vehicle licence was suspended and driver is to be reported for the offence - no excuse!

Licensing Enforcement Officers took part in a joint operation with colleagues from Merseyside Police on Friday evening. Officers were inspecting licensed vehicles and checks were also made by Merseyside Police in relation to drink and drug driving as well as vehicle safety.

Liverpool Licensing and Environmental Enforcement Officers conducted a joint agency roadside operation with colleagues from Merseyside Police conducting compliance checks on licensed vehicles and other work vehicles.

The Taxi Rank at Aintree races over the last couple of days has been well serviced by drivers who continued to return and assist people with their onward journeys away from the races. The Rank is operational again today. Access is via Hall Lane at Longmoor Lane

The first Liverpool HCVs attended Gt Homer St Market to have their meters updated with the new tariff. We are there again today 9am - 5pm and then next Monday 7 April 2025 between the same times.

The Liverpool Council Hackney Carriage Tariff is due to increase Monday 31 March 2025. Gt Homer St Market will be open between 9am and 5pm on Mon 31/3 Tues 1/4 and Monday 7/4 for Taxis to have their meter updated. The meter will be resealed, and a new tariff sheet issued.
Liverpool Licensing Officers discovered this LCC Taxi operating this afternoon with one of its front tyres in this condition - there is no excuse for it- It only takes a few minutes to check your tyres! Vehicle licence suspended, and driver to be reported for the offence.

Liverpool Licensing Officers recently took part in a joint operation with Merseyside Police and Tunnels Police. Licensed vehicles were inspected to ensure compliance along with checks by Merseyside Police in relation to drink and drug driving and vehicle safety.

Liverpool Licensing Officers working with colleagues from Merseyside Police recently conducted roadside inspections of licensed vehicles near Liverpool Airport. 13 defect notices were issued, as well as one vehicle licence being suspended for an illegal tyre.

This tyre was discovered on a Sefton PHV by Liverpool Licensing Officers during a compliance inspection. The vehicles PHV licence was suspended and the driver will be reported for the offence. Licensed vehicles clock up the miles - for safety's sake, please check your tyres!

Liverpool Licensing Enforcement Officers discovered a Knowsley PHV being used in the City Centre with this front near side tyre fitted. The vehicles PHV licence was suspended, and the driver to be reported - this was an accident waiting to happen, so please check your tyres!

Liverpool Licencing Enforcement Officers discovered this Wolverhampton PHV with its licence plate totally obscuring the vehicles registration mark. Enforcement action taken and issue resolved immediately.
