once, i found the elixir of eternal life. but instead of drinking it, i washed my face.
we must become conscious of our prophetic role, especially in its fallibility
you see the wind by how it moves the trees, and you see love by how it moves the hands
people are so amazing tbh Im super wowed by the amount of beauty and talent everywhere
people will not talk about us the way we talk about the medievals, or even the enlightenment. they will talk about us as we talk about Enoch and Noah. i say this so you know the stakes, and that the individual details are of no importance in the long run. they are important now.
i need a rather long boat ride down the river and then to cross the oceans and reach Cathay from the west
it's the speed for me. i could go to china on a pilgrimage. but driving into town hurts me.
latin was the language of learning, but its descendants, losing the precision of form, have always tended more toward song, and generally arr unsuited to clarity. something lost and something gained. but english has both.
i wouldn't mind living in a lighthouse, but i'd always be worried about it being carried away by the wind
On an unconscious level, God isn’t something you believe or disbelieve. It is something you feel or don’t feel. Atheism is a pathological avoidance of feeling God because of an unconscious fear of letting go of perceived control. It is a programmed framework that feeds the ego.
Atheism just means you don't believe in God it isn't an ideological framework. Good engagement bait though.
the part of me that writes novels clearly knew this already before cause both books have water and evrrything about it as a central theme.
all my life has been about water, all kinds of water, all important memories with water. just getting now how much this is the case. spooky.

before the water crossing we also had to fight through a tangled mess of branches and sometimes brambles. when we finally thought we could rest, hell hound on our trail.
three hour walk in the water over slippery stones. very tiresome. we went to bed after midnight, both of us up at 4am, couldn't sleep anymore. very strong winds all morning. strange days have found us i guess.

had an unexpected adventure yesterday. it involved walking along the basin of a stream to get away from an evil dog and being surounded all the way by damselflies.
