1/4 Our manuscript in Brain Structure and Function is out! Title speaks for itself: tractography can be highly anatomically accurate - if you know where pathways start, where they end, and where they do not go! link.springer.com/article/10.100…
Title: Current Views on the Structure and Function of the Corticospinal Tract. Time: Friday June 20th 9.00 AM (Montréal, EDT) zoom.us/s/94042659277
White (#SMI #DTI) and gray matter (#SANDI) microstructure characterization? In the brain AND spinal cord? On a clinical scanner??? Check out what works and what doesn't work! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Anyone know someone awarded an R35 (in particular an R35 for ESI) and willing to connect me with them??! Have some questions/clarifications!
Curious how time-dependent diffusion—from microseconds to months—can reveal tissue structure & function? Make sure to join the Diffusion Study Group's upcoming Virtual Meeting and register by June 27! 📅 June 30, 16:00 UTC | 18:00 CEST 🔗 ismrm.org/virtual-meetin…
I’m at the OHBM in Brisbane and I'm competing in the "Brain Art" contest! Check out my entries (#1.1 and #2.6) here: sites.google.com/view/ohbm-brai…. If you want to boost my chances of winning, please vote for each category here: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAI… Thanks!
"Perhaps this is why it is called research rather than search"... one of my favorite quotes (can be applied to all research)... from Novikov's "On Modeling" pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29493816/

Our newest manuscript now in Scientific Reports. Title says it all "The relationship of white matter tract orientation to vascular geometry in the human brain" - where does WM align (and not align) with vasculature? @MASI_Lab @vuiis nature.com/articles/s4159…

It was great to see many of you at the business meeting, we hope to see you next year in Cape Town!🇿🇦 Stay tuned for our virtual meeting on June 30th (16:00 UTC) about ‘Time dependent diffusion: microseconds, seconds, & months’.⏰ Mahalo!🌺
Aloha ISMRM-Diffusion folks! 🌺 Thanks to all the trainees who submitted abstracts to the trainee competition at the @ISMRM Annual Meeting in #Honolulu. We gave out some awards for the best trainee presentations in #Diffusion 🏆
What’s everyone’s go-to for releasing imaging datasets? I have two small/medium sized I’d like to release. Considering openneuro, osf, NIHMS data repository, zenodo???
ISMRM-folk: Don’t let your morning be a random walk — diffuse with purpose to room 318AB at 9:15 a.m. tomorrow for the ISMRM Diffusion Study Group business meeting!
Can confirm - works great on human AND animal models where b-vectors may have unique or proprietary formats.

Did you know that even though #tractography is often considered a computationally expensive and offline process, the latest algorithms can now be performed in real-time without sacrificing accuracy? link.springer.com/article/10.100… @tractography @baranaydogan and Joseph Yang
Probably one of my favorite seminars I’ve given! Thanks for the pictures @EmilyH107 and thanks for the invite @vuiis. White matter across the lifespan featuring awesome work from @MASI_Lab
went to a ~fantastic~ seminar (as part of the VUIIS seminar series) on white matter across the lifespan by dr. @kurtschilling5 today !! the MASI lab has created some really neat white matter development charts (a la height/weight growth charts for infants & toddlers) !! 🤩🤩🤩
Come check out the "Beyond FA" Grand Challenge at ISBI 2025! FA = sensitive, not specific. Let's go "Beyond FA" to study Alzheimer's Disease. Grand-challenge website here: lnkd.in/e9g_vJ-hWe test your favorite diffusion model!
