Kirkman made the story suffer from the same issue as Insomniac Spider-Man, picking and choosing when they want the characters to actually be busted or not. Like, Mark shouldn’t really have a problem with anything on Earth or most things in space, but Kirkman does it anyway.
I would say in general invincible both comic and animation are inconsistent with viltramites. They are almost shown as a strong as Superman at times but other times something weaker is able to give them nosebleeds or even injure them a bit or more
