“If America can’t honor its word to those who bled for it,” a retired U.S. colonel told me, “why would anyone trust us again? This isn’t just immigration policy — it’s a test of our moral credibility. And we’re failing.” msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-…
Today, the U.S. government has once again turned its back on our Afghan Allies. TPS, has been shut down for Afghans. Afghans currently under TPS protection should immediately contact a qualified immigration attorney (not a FB or messenger group) for a review on their status
@POTUS Hundreds of thousands of Afghan allies need your support. SIV, P1/P2/Refugee categories, Parole, TPS are all being closed or functionally dismantled. The problem is far greater than just UAE.
Encouraging, yet let us not forget the SIV CARE team dismantling, the complete halt of all Afghan refugee programs, the revocation of parole and potentially TPS. Hundreds of thousands of Afghan s need your support @realDonaldTrump @WhiteHouse @StateDept

Trump says he will help Afghans stuck in the UAE reut.rs/4lxce0A
The Trump admin just announced that it has shut down CARE — the office for coordination of relocation efforts for #AfghanAllies. A slap in the face to #veterans, to #afghans, to Americans from every walk of life and across the political spectrum. Take a listen, then get loud.
This new travel ban doesn’t just block visas—it blocks families, breaks promises, and betrays those who stood with the U.S. in Afghanistan. You can’t say Afghanistan is “safe” and also label the Taliban terrorists. Which is it? Read our full statement: #KeepThePromise
A powerful piece written in the voices of Veterans who have served in Afghanistan, and continue to this day to Iead the fight to bring our Afghan Allies to safety. “If there was ever a country that deserves TPS,” Sullivan insisted, “it is Afghanistan.”
The Trump administration’s move to end deportation protections for wartime allies who fled to the U.S. after the fall of Afghanistan has infuriated veterans, who say the U.S. government is betraying a sacred promise. wapo.st/3SG73yR
I was recently asked by a colleague who also has worked tirelessly to help #AfghanAllies if I would be willing to talk to a media outlet. To which I obviously said yes because they wanted to talk about Ahmad and his practically impossible quest for safety for him and his family.
Claim that Afghan refugees can safely return to their Taliban-ruled homeland is 'just absurd,' per advocates and actual experts like @kim_staffieri nbcnews.com/politics/natio… via @nbcnews
What fate awaits Afghan refugees forced back due to the Trump admin’s ending of temporary protected status? “In many cases, it's going to be a fate worse than death,” Afghan vet @jason_c_howk tells me. “The Taliban and the Haqqani terrorist network, who are just as closely tied…
My thoughts on ending Temporary Protected Status for Afghans:
The One-Two punch of shuttering the Afghan P1/P2 refugee categories AND removing TPS for Afghan Allies in the U.S. (vetted and still waiting after 3.5 years for SIV COM approval) is a travesty. Add insult to injury.

‘Kim Staffieri of @wartimeallies , a nonprofit that helps Afghans who worked for the U.S. government, said it “is unfathomable that DHS can say the economy of Afghanistan has stabilized, that it’s much safer now and that Afghans don’t need TPS anymore.” nbcnews.com/politics/natio…
🚨Trump wants to take a $400M plane from Qatar as a gift to make Air Force One. While he’s also disgracefully denying TPS protection for our brave Afghan allies. And Kristi Noem hits a new low. youtu.be/ocdM83BzJz4?si… I joined Katy Tur on MSNBC. I’ll join her again tomorrow…
Ending TPS for Afghan allies is a dangerous, immoral failure. Thousands were evacuated by the U.S. Now they face deportation. This breaks our promise. AAF urges the admin & Congress to reverse this. Read our full statement: #TPSforAfghans #AfghanAllies #KeepThePromise
I know hundreds if not thousands of "Mohammad". All of them with stories much like this. Here now and uncertainty of what the future holds for them. Even more stuck abroad in other countries. Unable to call any place home. Then of course there is my Ahmad.... who is still stuck

A must read. It should never be this dangerous or this hard for the U.S. to stand behind our Afghan allies. This young man is just one example of hundreds of thousands of Afghan Allies we have let down in the past, and continue to fail daily.
