my new swag is being a regular normal guy just a regular dude that’s normal #regular
Anyway I’m home alone so had some uninterrupted time to think. you gotta believe that how you feel matters that’s where emotional stamina comes from, it’s a beacon transmitted thru ur intention the new challenge is navigating post algorithmic hellscape. real people are out there
To quote a real one “the first punches hurt the most”. The path is painful but it’s the most important part of being an artist.. emotional stamina is the biggest quality when it comes to maintaining your belief in the dream.. you’ll run out of it before you run out of good ideas
In addition when narrative is pulled out underneath artists it forces us to improvise this tests your identity what you believe in and your relationship with ur art.. watch a comedian bomb and you’ll see it first hand what authenticity looks like even in absolute failure
A great example of post ironic art is knife party internet friends or edm death machine it’s a joke but it fuckin bangs.. you can participate in a culture you are highly cynical of and maintain your artistic integrity I feel this type of art is crucial..now
Even when it looks like a joke maybe even especially when it looks like a joke is a longing to be heard I think some of the greatest artists hide their sincere belief in their art behind sarcasm and cynicism esp now but always been this way
