giselleism works in mysterious ways
happy for elle but this pisses me off because it means they absolutely saw all our other fancasts, the general fan consensus about characters, our conversations about why louella/lou lou should've been black or indigenous, etc. and yet they only decided to use white fancasts!!
Elle Fanning says fans online may have influenced her being cast as Effie in ‘The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping’: "I think fans made this happen in a way. The studio said they were getting kind of hounded online, like, 'Elle needs to play Effie.'" (Via @MTV)
Some of y'all are missing the point of this post bc it isn't shipping nor respect, it's literally about how some of y'all fetishize certain topics, condone racism by turning a blind eye or telling poc to “block and ignore”, and often harassing teens for expressing their opinions.
i do not care about "fandom culture" & i do not care about "fandom etiquette" .a lot of you are bad people
haven’t seen a single episode of iwtv but i like every tweet about it and love claudia
not even trying to hate but what does sydney sweeney want in her career? like she used to talk about wanting to be a serious actress to bath water soap, how does that help you get to that point😭😭 i never see people talk about her as an actress
it's really fucking annoying how fandom etiquette went from meaning "leave comments and kudos if you liked a fic" and "don't pqrt art" to dogwhistling for "don't critique bigoted behavior"
too many people use “fandom culture” to defend racist, transphobes, homophobes etc there’s a difference between being corny and a fucking weird and bad person
You people would NEVERRRR defend black people who are victims of censorship the way you defend written child porn and that speaks volumes to me
I expect something like this from someone whose account didn’t exist before 2020. Fandom culture/etiquette is literally just common courtesy, queer acceptance, and anti-censorship. -
Haymitch will fall in love with Lenore Dove over and over again, he doesn't care how, where, or when, no matter how long it's been-
Core problem is that fandom had a worst than shallow understanding of misogyny so they think "misogyny is when female character is hated" when there is way more to that which is why you get these fans whose whole femenism is saying character girlboss and she is a whole fascist.
people have been putting the links to bway bootlegs in TIKTOK COMMENTS and now like half of my fav slime tutorials have been deleted DO YALL NOT KNOW HOW SHARING BOOTLEGS WORK ???? stop posting them like its ur fucking ngl link oh my GOD
seeing new people in fandoms you were in like 6 years ago is kinda crazy like wdym you weren’t there the exact moment everyone found out sal and larry were step brothers
the wildest thing about haymitch’s hair in the original movies is that woodys bald. they literally had the opportunity to give him a book-accurate wig and they chose to make him blonde for some reason
