A heartfelt appeal to any fellow @ChalkeFestival attendees on Sun 29th June: I lost a large plain silver ring (Birmingham 2000, size Z). It’s dented and worn, not worth much, but means a great deal to me. Please do contact me if found. Thanks so much! #ChalkeHistoryFestival
What an honour to present a paper at the Early Book Society Conference, held at New York University! Feeling very inspired by the reaction to my research, and the many wonderful panels I’ve attended thus far ✨

Thrilled to see this exquisite C16th panel portrait of William Carey on display at Hever Castle! As Mary Boleyn’s first husband, William likely knew Hever well, making its paring with Hever’s portrait of Mary truly special and evocative. Do come and see him! #HeverCastle
Most come to #HeverCastle for the history - Josh Widdicombe came to meet the fam! In 2021, I had the joy of telling Josh that he’s descended from Mary Boleyn on BBC’s @WDYTYA_UK. Today, he unveiled a 16th century portrait of her husband, William Carey - Josh’s 14x great-gramps!
Thrilled to see our exciting new portrait acquisition at Hever Castle in The Times today! A rare portrait of William Carey will be launched to the public on Sunday 22nd June - the anniversary of his death. He’ll be reunited with his wife, Mary Boleyn, in Hever’s Great Chamber 🎨
