Wikipedia threaten to limit UK access because of the Online Safety Act – a disastrous piece of legislation that's already caused several websites to shut down in the UK.

Something really captivating about this AI generated idea for a game

Given the popularity of Claude Code, I strongly suspect they will launch an IDE Cursor forking VS Code made a lot of sense, but coding is obviously going to be 90% agentic from here and being tied to a bloated IDE that is designed for manual coding makes no sense
Not sure if people remember this - the pensioner that was harassed and burned to death in his own home. I submitted an appeal for undue leniency after they were sentenced to 2 and 6 years, rejected.
Here's Nathan Otitodilchukwu and two friends throwing a firework through Robert Price's window in Dagenham, east London. Mr Price died in the fire they caused. courtnewsuk.co.uk/jail-for-teena…
A good new category of startup ideas is AI agents that use existing SaaS for you: - Ahrefs - AdWords - Google analytics - Hotjar I don’t wanna click around in some complex UI for hours every week to check a few reports or tweak a few dials
I keep telling myself that I'm going to stop posting about politics, but every time I come on here, there's an even more ridiculous government screw up that I can't ignore.
The tories got a 4 month superinjuction while they arranged an airlift, it was Labour that expanded the scheme. They blew a £7 billion secret hole in the budget and then spent the next few months gouging the public to pay for it & gagging journalists or MPs from talking about it
Imagine trying to explain to an American that our courts have the power to arrest journalists and politicians that even mention an issue on a whim. Imagine being starmer scoffing in front of Trump that we respect free speech when you know this is happening
If the real number of afghans settled here is in the hundreds of thousands, the fact they average 60 rape convictions per 10k people is absolutely chilling. What a complete betrayal, every single one of these inevitable attacks is a policy choice
The afghans the government resettled weren’t included in ONS migration data. They state they’re resettling 24k collaborators, but they’re entitled to bring a wife and any kids under 18. The average afghan family has 5 kids, so the real number is probably closer to 140k
I didn't think it was possible to hate the UK government any more. But there you go.
Turns out the highly sensitive MOD database was in fact an Excel spreadsheet. And someone who didn't understand Excel had access to this, and casually emailed it to some random Afghan colleagues, before it eventually ended up on Facebook

Increasingly it's evident the open borders experiment the UK has been running has been a total financial disaster. It will take decades to fix this
LLMs still tend to behave as if they have unlimited context window. So the main challenge while using them is to manage this hence the phrase "context engineering" vs "prompt engineering"
Hundreds of SaaS could be built with Claude Code as a backend
Not enough people realize that Claude Code is really just Claude Agent. It’s a: - customizable agentic system - that's *really* good at knowing when & how to use tools - disguised as a coding tool. And it’s slowly starting to feel like what working with AGI should feel like.
The big trap with AI coding is that you can now create tons more features quickly. products that try to do everything rarely do anything well though
You are 8.5X more likely to die in Europe due to their lack of air conditioning than you are to be killed in the United States by someone with a gun. Just let that settle in your brain for a moment.
lol it’s real
Grok has the best model, again, but is yet still way behind in adoption Beyond X, there is no real reason to use it ChatGPT is accumulating more and more specific knowledge, so the costs of switching as a user are high If it’s good at coding, it may become popular in Cursor,…
I used to think that UBI (universal basic income) was a good idea... The UK is proving in real-time why it can't work As soon as the state starts giving people free money, they will simply vote for the party that offers to increase or maintain that money. This cycle will…
