After 9 years AAU basketball has come to an end for me. I started on an all boys team in Illinois playing in a Friday night league at the same gym that Midwest Elite practiced in. I remember my dad telling me how good the girls on that team were, and that if I worked hard…

I’m not crying - you’re crying. This is a very special group. Played for each other. Celebrated teammates success. Shared the ball always. Most importantly they really like each other and are a true team. Finished the weekend 3-0 playing their best basketball of the season.

17u players…for most of you, today is you last day playing AAU basketball. Your parents have spent thousands, used vacation time, worked in the car and from hotels, been nervous for you, and have had many sleepless nights. Thank them, hug them, tell them you love them.

Game #1 has been moved to 1:30p tomorrow. This is a huge tournament with a ton of competition. Don't miss it! @WIPGEGirls
