Altoona Curve manager Andy Fox said Esmerlyn Valdez will have a work day Thursday and if all goes well, he’ll be back in the lineup Friday. He mentioned Valdez still being a little sore, but in good spirits when he got to the ballpark this morning.

Oviedo mentioned he felt good after the start and will be throwing a bullpen in Pittsburgh on Monday. He expects to get at least one more start in Altoona.
