My favorite of the six Stahl films I saw at the Cinémathèque Française retro. Gorgeous print. Highly recommend NYCers to prioritize this one.
The Library of Congress has restored several of Stahl's silents. We will be showing one of them, MEMORY LANE, at @MoMAFilm in August, as part of our Silent Movie Week.

Happy to catch Cyprien Gaillard’s new stereoscopic 3D film RETINAL RIVALRY while in Berlin. Not sure about the whole thing, but a couple pretty wild sequences. I also don’t read/speak German, so one voiceover sequence was lost on me. Maybe explained the Michael Jackson swerve?
