Hey, primary schools! Thinking about upgrading your assessment system? @InsightHQ offers the tools to store all your data in one easy to use system. Plus: - bespoke parent reports and IEPs - provision mapping - detailed attendance tracking No hidden costs and top support.

Converting human opinion into a number gives it the illusion of accuracy. It is a mistake to think we can use teacher assessment to compare attainment in different subjects, measure progress over time, evaluate teacher performance, or monitor school standards.
Vast majority of school policies are about statutory compliance. There should be no process of writing, redrafting, checking, reviewing, or ratifying. DfE should write them and schools adhere to them. Maybe they can change the school name or something. Current system is nuts.
The world of SEND learning plans/IEPs/ILPs/ISPs/IPPs is wild. 150 LAs with a 150 different ways of doing things and 150 different templates. Plus schools and MATs coming up with their own approaches. Here’s mad plan: how about we have a common approach?
Probably the best writing CPD you will ever attend:
*FREE WRITING WEBINAR RECORDING* At Stanley Road, we have developed an approach to writing that we believe aligns with many elements included in the DfE's Writing Framework. If you'd like to watch a webinar on this, complete the form at this link... forms.gle/c66cnHyKTdZzuu…

Evening all Insight schools. Once you import KS2 results tomorrow you can view them alongside EYFSP, phonics, MTC and KS1 (if you do them) in the statutory assessment report. If you don’t use Insight, we’ll publish a link to a webpage with headline data.
*NEW POST* KS2 Results: who’s included and who isn’t. A look at test participation, calculation of accountability measures and discounting pupils from results. insightinform.co.uk/2025/07/07/key…
It’s KS2 results day tomorrow. If anyone has any questions about accountability measures, which pupils are included and which ones aren’t, and how things are calculated, please do ask. I’ll be around all day.
