On this day 45 years ago, Love Will Tear Us Apart was released. In 2002, @NME named the song as the greatest single of all time, while @RollingStone named it one of the 500 greatest songs ever in 2004, 2010, and 2021.

On this day in 1978, Joy Division performed at The Factory, at The Russell Club with The Tiller Boys. The promotional poster used was the first poster for The Factory Club. Designed by Peter Saville and designated number FAC1, it was the first item in the Factory catalogue.

On this day in 1977, Warsaw played their first gig together at Electric Circus in Manchester, supporting the Buzzcocks and Penetration. Tony Tabac featured on drums, and was with the band until June 1977. #JoyDivision
