Roquan Smith said this is probably the most talented defense he’s played on.

Roquan Smith said Trenton Simpson has taken a “big step physically, mentally.” He had a lot of praise for his muscled-up physique. Teddye Buchanan’s, too.

Derrick Henry on Keaton Mitchell: “He’s got that speed back.”

Derrick Henry on possibly not needing to rush for 2,000 yards to get into an Adam Sandler movie: “If he wants to cast me in a movie, I’ll be happy as hell.”

Yesterday, the Ravens who spoke mentioned their goal of the Super Bowl over and over. That’s typical for Lamar Jackson to do, too, but this year he said he’s not focused on the SB but on getting better right now.
Lamar Jackson on his continuity with Todd Monken: “I pretty much know what he thinks.”

Lamar Jackson on what’s different for him in 2025: “I’m 28. Last year, I was 27.” Big grin.

When asked about the decision to visit with Donald Trump, who has said many unflattering things about Baltimore, the city John Harbaugh represents, he said he’d rather frame the question as an opportunity to visit with the president, who he said he’s rooting for.
ILB Jake Hummel missed practice today because of a cut on his hand, but he should be back soon, per John Harbaugh.

John Harbaugh said that with Lamar Jackson going into his eighth season (and he’s 28), his window to improve is really big.
John Harbaugh said the guys look good out there on Day 1 of training camp, but they’ve got “miles to go.”
Day 1 just wrapped. The defense is definitely ahead of the offense. Odafe Oweh and Nnamdi Madubuike turned it on late. Cooper Rush missed a few throws he should’ve had. Lamar Jackson was solid if unspectacular. Oh, and Tyler Loop didn’t miss a kick.
We have our first Jaire Alexander seatbelt celebration of camp. He broke up a deep pass to Dayton Wade and got a big ovation from the crowd.
Lamar Jackson’s first target in his first 11-on-11: DeAndre Hopkins Lamar Jackson’s first completion in his first 11-on-11: Zay Flowers
So far, LB Jake Hummel is the only player other than S Ar’Darius Washington and OL Emery Jones Jr. that I don’t see out here for the first day of Ravens training camp.
A lot of eyes on Mike Green (45) and the Ravens’ pass rush. Pads won’t come on until next week.

The Ravens might have the best roster in the NFL, the most collective talent of the Lamar Jackson era. Why does it feel like nerves are at an all-time high? On the scar tissue of playoff losses, and how it can't define this entire Ravens season: thebaltimorebanner.com/sports/ravens-…
