#Bukavu, #DRC. Epidemics, violence, limited access: the challenges are huge. With @LelmiU, we witnessed the dedication of health teams, from the Mpox & cholera units at the University Clinics to Panzi Hospital, where the strength of survivors of sexual violence deeply moved us.

#Goma, #DRC. With @LelmiU, we saw signs of basic services resuming. With @UNICEFDRC’s support, schools, health centers and the hospital have reopened in Sake, Shasha and Kirotshe, and chlorination points were installed to prevent cholera. Still, needs remain immense!

With @LelmiU on the boat ride from Bukavu to Goma as she continues to appreciate the extend of the crisis in eastern DRC, the work @UNICEFDRC colleagues & other partners do in response and the access challenges. Needs are huge as resources continue to dwindle.
#Bunia, #DRC. Joined @LelmiU, #UNICEF Global Emergency Operations Director to visit Kigonze IDP camp, where 60% of the displaced are children. @UNICEFDRC is delivering vital services: health, nutrition, water, protection, but the scale of needs far exceeds available resources.
On mission in eastern #DRC, @LelmiU visited Kigonze and Salama IDP camps. Health, nutrition, WASH, safe spaces, essential kits: UNICEF remains on the ground, but the response is weakened by increasingly limited resources. #ForEveryChild, sustainable solutions.
Today, I visited one of the Toyokana “Let’s Listen to Each Other” spaces in #Kinshasa—created with and for girls. A sanctuary of hope, strength & healing. Their courage in standing up to sexual violence is inspiring. #GBV

Accord historique entre le @TourismeRDCongo par SEM @Nebianshu & @UNICEFDRC. Rétrocession de 20% des recettes du Festival Mondial de la Musique & du Tourisme organisé à Kinshasa 16-18 Juil. 25, pour soutenir les interventions humanitaires en faveur des enfants à l'est du pays.
