I’ve been scrolling Pinterest UI wireframes to build my taste in app design. Curious if there’s other ways people learn!
Post Google I/O, I am feeling happy to see that AI competition is forcing big tech companies to start shipping fast and create on the frontier again. That’s how it should be 😎
TFW you pull up to standup and see yet another customer run 1B+ tokens through their @databricks Agent Bricks endpoint in a single day🚀 This is enterprise LLMs at scale.

One of the best things I did in college was lead a consulting club. The next time you’ll manage 20+ people will be decades into your career. And if you take it seriously, you’ll feel what it feels like to own all the business outcomes but not the day to day work. You’ll learn…
When you give ambitious people AI, they: 1. Work on extremely difficult problems (i.e. drug discovery and cancer research) 2. Build addictive drugs that capture the minds (and $) of us all (i.e. AI girlfriends) 3. Create enterprise SaaS
When the former Windsurf employees now at Cognition eventually start their own companies, THOSE are the founders I’d want to work for. They’ve lived the sacrifices early employees make, and I believe they’ll fight to do the right thing for their teams.

If you’re someone who takes the time to put thoughts to paper on a weekly cadence, there’s a 90% chance we could be great friends. I can just feel it. Doesn’t matter what you’re writing about.
Currently writing my June monologue on how our largest social media platforms lack disciplined and intentional design, and I believe there is great opportunity here. Stay tuned! 😉
It’s very SF core to say “if it’s not a HELL YES then it’s a no” — in every context from hiring to dating. I find this to be a bandage for not having the patience and aptitude to get to know someone.
Going to cafe work on side projects tomorrow morning in Hayes if anyone would like to join :)
In Tahoe this weekend with some friends and we made mind movie slideshow desks manifesting what we want our lives to look like :)

I feel a little bit of joy when I read typos in writing now 🥹 just a gentle reminder that there are real people who thoughtfully made something for me to read
This month, I noticed that I spend more time orchestrating LLMs than deeply thinking about what I am creating. And I worry that this habit will bias us toward building for our implicit needs rather than complex human problems. Read my May monologue here: thoughtsbyjane.substack.com/p/may-2025-inn…
I had a great dinner convo with @janvikalra_ a couple of weeks ago where we discussed: What was the hardest thinking that you’ve done this week? I’ve been asking myself this question almost daily as I delegate more thinking to AI. More thoughts to come in my May blog post!
