The first @CoalitionNcd annual meeting held on the African continent getting underway in Kampala with a speech by Somalia’s Minister of Health announcing their Coalition membership. Anticipating country commitments for #HLM4 to come out of this important meeting.

Our journey starts in August 2024. We conducted site visits, a rapid landscape analysis, and are finalizing the intervention design. Engaging with stakeholders from @MinofHealthUG, participating RRHs, & @HeartUganda to shape the future of heart failure care in 🇺🇬. #MedlyUganda

Goals include improving HF outcomes, assessing implementation effectiveness, & exploring cost factors. Stepped-wedge trial at 6 Regional Referral Hospitals engages a diverse patient population.💙 #MedlyUganda #HeartFailureCare #DigitalHealth #ImplementationScience

Introducing MEDLY UGANDA: a groundbreaking project transforming heart failure care in 🇺🇬! Partnerships with @UINCD, @YaleMed, and @UHN. Led by @SsinabulyaIsaac and @jeremy_schwartz, it employs a digital-first approach using the Medly Uganda app to empower patients in self-care.

Friday 3rd Feb 2023 marked the official completion of the #PENPlus Core Training. 31 Trainees from #Nakaseke and #Atutur General Hospitals received certificates and pledged their commitment in strengthening #NCD care. @MinofHealthUG @NCDIpoverty
