Deputy Mayor for Operations, City of New York | Colonel, New York Army National Guard
Toured the planned upgrades underway at @nypd facility at Rodman’s Neck. When complete it’ll make our public safety training operations there quieter for the community, and better for our officers! Thanks @NYCDDC for keeping NYC building!

It's going to be another day of extreme heat across NYC! Don't forget that Cooling Centers are open so you can soak up the A/C! Protect yourself and your loved ones, including pets. Find your nearest Cooling Center: nyc.gov/site/em/ready/…
Game over, RATS! With Empire Bins, we're leveling up the 'Trash Revolution' and chasing every last one out of New York City.
Great to speak with our City Hall summer interns today! We left them with this: show up and do the work- New Yorkers expect and deserve nothing less. From high school to grad school, these young people’s commitment to public service is exactly what our city needs.

We’re making streets cleaner & safer! At “The Hub” in the Bronx, we’ve got multiple agencies working around the clock to ⬆️cleaning efforts & NYPD patrols, get sidewalk sheds down, ease traffic flow. @NYCSanitation Getting it done, one block at a time. ✅

We outside, NYC! Sometimes the best way to get public space to NYers is to open the space that’s already there. W/ “schoolyards to playgrounds” we just opened 11 school playgrounds on the summer & weekend- as part of @NYCMayor #bestbudgetever. Common sense stuff! @NYCParks

When I picked Jeff Roth to be our Deputy Mayor of Operations, I knew he had the knowledge and passion to keep our city running. I also knew he represented a lot of LGBTQ+ New Yorkers’ stories and would bring that important experience to our work, too. cityandstateny.com/personality/20…
We were blown away today by the outpouring of support for @GOALny and their right to march in the Pride Parade. We will continue this fight until LGBTQ+ members of the NYPD — the very people who protect this event — are allowed to participate in uniform once again.
We are still under EXTREME HEAT today. Heat-related illness and death become more likely the longer a heatwave lasts. It is incredibly important you take care of yourself and others today. Cooling centers remain OPEN. If you’re not in A/C, find one online!
💧stay cool, stay safe! 💧 🚫illegally opened hydrants waste 1000 gallons/minute, lower water pressure, and can stir up sediment, causing discolored tap water. Get a cap from @FDNY !
NYC’s Emergency Situation Room is activated. Inside, NYC Emergency Management is leading a full coordinated response to this brutal heat and support Election Day operations. We move supplies, open Cooling Centers, and surge support where it’s needed most. We’re coordinating with…
☀️🌡️Stay cool this week NYC! If you can’t stay cool at home, find a cooling center near you, here: finder.nyc.gov/coolingcenters/ Or call 311. Stay cool, stay safe!
Congratulations to today’s graduating class of @NYC_Buildings inspectors. You worked hard- 500 hours of classroom training, 80 separate courses- to keep NYers safe across 1 million (!) buildings. This is just the beginning. We thank you!

Being one of NYC’s strongest is hard work @NYCSanitation Stopped by @nysci to talk flood mitigation, pausing for some fun at their new CityWorks exhibit- sorting fact from fiction (…and plastic from cardboard.)

We need a holistic solution for our bike lanes- working with the apps to slow them down and keep everyone safe.
Good news from the @nyctaxi team about our accessibility efforts for New Yorkers! This milestone makes NYC the MOST accessible fleet in the country — and we're not done yet: amny.com/news/nyc-taxis…
Your accessible ride is here! Now 50% of @nyctaxi cabs are fully accessible- access is everything in nyc. Thanks to the disability advocacy community for always pushing for better & our drivers for investing in the future of our fleet.

‼️🚨New public space alert!🚨‼️ @GothamParkNYC & The Arches are open - in the shade of the Bk Bridge, this is an architectural marvel & safe space for skateboarding. Ollie time! 🛹

Celebrated @Pridemonth with @NYCMayor last night. Every year, this month is a reminder that we all deserve to be heard & have the opportunity to thrive. That's what NYC is all about. Happy Pride. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
