Each year, I provide snacks in my classroom for students to have one if they need it. Some are at school all day because of after-school programs. I visit a local grocery outlet for affordable snacks, and every so often, friends will venmo/cashapp to help purchase more.
When you guys come across snacks and food on a class list, there are VERY VALID reasons for it. You may not see it, but our teachers do. From kids eating out of the trash to hiding snacks and lunch pieces so they can eat them later because they have nothing at home. Or evenโฆ
