Urbanism, Public Transit, and SEPTA wisher-they-could-be-funded, SEPTA Youth Advisory Council, Philly cyclist Views are my own
Love SEPTA, and I get why it's necessary, but man the Trolley Blitz sucks!! Have to leave so much earlier than I normally do to make places on time
Saw Mulholland Drive for the first time last night, hate to say that I was unfamiliar with David Lynch's game. Onto the deep dive of David Lynch and his connection s to Philly...
Today's the first day in a hot minute without major humidity in Philly and it makes such a huge difference for my enjoyment of summer 😭😭

Thanks to our tech lead Ee & other PBA volunteers and average Philadelphians doing their part, we’ve already completely changed the level and quality of data that the PPA is receiving on dangerously parked vehicles
A new app will allow Philadelphians to report parking violations using "laser vision." From illegal sidewalk parking to bike lane obstructions, violations captured by photo trigger an automatic report that gets sent to the PPA. bit.ly/4lq9KB4
Waymo this, Waymo that…we need Way Mo transit funding 😁
if you can't get SEPTA funded, i'm not voting for you.
New: State Rep. Chris Rabb is officially running in PA03 for retiring Rep. Dwight Evans seat, promising an “unapologetically progressive” campaign: inquirer.com/politics/phila…
While our “clean and green” mayor refuses to pay city workers a living wage, a reminder of the raises she gave to herself and her staff
maybe I'm just being crazy, but is the endgame for PA Republicans to hemorrhage population and services from Philly and the surrounding area so that over time, SEPA will lose it's political significance and cement PA as a red state ?
Hate being stuck in traffic when I am on the bus, I should be EXEMPTED
Genuinely, the Portal in City Hall is so cute, everyone is so happy and excited to say hi and show love to people on the other side
Need some trees at Independence Hall. It's hot af out!! Who's gonna hang out here in the summer ? (no one)

You will fund mass transit.
News: The Pennsylvania House added two provisions -- one doubling state transit funding starting in 2028 and another approving $500 million in bonds for new road projects -- to Gov. Josh Shapiro's transit proposal today with bipartisan support. The bill now awaits final passage.
San Antonio is a fake city that has annexed itself into being 1.6x larger in area than New York City despite having less than 20% of the population of NYC and Philadelphia does not recognize it much like we do not recognize Phoenix
Philly remains the nation’s 6th-largest city, but its lead over San Antonio is narrowing inquirer.com/news/philadelp…
I know that the state Senate is to blame for lack of action on transit funding, but why does it feel that Shapiro is doing basically nothing on this matter... Like there's gotta be something he can do, right? Really have felt a lack of love for SE-PA during his term.
We can no longer kick the can down the road. I'm calling on the Senate to come to the table and find common ground so we can fund mass transit here in Pennsylvania. Mass transit is critically important in all 67 counties — whether it’s a rural county where a senior uses a…
Yesterday, the YAC received a briefing on various Transit Oriented Community Projects. Ambler station and Germantown are the first two projects to go through SEPTA's newly established TOC pipeline. More will be announced in the coming months! (1/2)
youtu.be/jTo82C4JIWo?si… As always, crazy good video from @alanthefisher. It's got everything you love to see: data, explanations, and solutions to the SEPTA funding issue.
Municipalities can’t just create new taxes—even if they want to support transit systems like SEPTA. That’s why @RepHohenstein and I introduced HB1146, letting counties like Philly, DELCO, and Allegheny authorize local transit taxes to help build a real, lasting funding solution.
