There have been great novels set in the gilded age. In ww1, ww2, in the jazz age. In New york, in the 60s, 70s, 80s, American Psycho. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. But somehow none have profiled the specific neuroses of silicon valley or SF. I think it’s waiting to be written.
