What you should know (A THREAD) I became ill with M.E. at 15, due to a virus. I disappeared from my life. Since 2006, I have spent 1825 days in hospital. I was bed bound for 12 YEARS and housebound for longer. I've had 4745 blood thinning injections. (1) #PwME #MedTwitter
This is what my daughter’s lost teddy looks like. She's lost without him. We were at Slough Premier Inn on Windsor rd and we took the train from Slough to Whitechapel on the Elizabeth line just before 10am. The train was going to Abbey wood. @TfL @premierinn #FindBumbleBear

In the morning I shall have a six year old and I can't help wondering where the hell those years have gone... She went from a little babe with her head being smaller than an orange to finishing year one at school. 😩🥹
Who has been spreading misinformation about disabled people and Motability recently? (This thread could also be entitled, when citizen journalism goes woefully wrong — but unfortunately it’s scooped up alleged “real” journalists too at the Daily Mail and Daily Express!) - Guido…
Guess who took her night medication instead of her morning medication, but then had to take her morning meds on top of this and now feels like a exhausted wreck...yeah me. Bloody brain fog 🙃
But here is my little public service announcement from last week which is still apt for this week too.... #WelfareReformBill #WelfareReform
It's now less than 24 hours until MPs are expected to vote on disability benefit cuts. We still have very little information and what we do know is concerning. A thread on some of the things we do and don't know, and why MPs cannot take this leap into the dark 🧵1/12
The Disability Benefit Cuts Bill will unleash a domino effect of hardship for carers. Many are disabled themselves so in future won't get the support they rely on. PIP is a “passport” to Carer’s Allowance, some families will lose both - around £9,000 a year. I’m voting NO.
Starmer's 4-point PIP means that someone who can't wash their own hair, private parts, legs and feet, and needs assistance to be able to get in or out of a bath or shower will not be entitled to a penny of welfare help. This bill is beyond nightmarish. It must be scrapped.
Decided that my social media needed a bit of an update... Me in the woods, listening to the birds singing and the wind making the trees dance around me, the breeze tickling the hairs on my neck. A tiny moment of pure bliss. #NewProfilePic

I've signed this amendment. Disabled people have not been consulted and we have not given enough time for the government’s reforms on employment support to work. In the middle of a cost of living crisis, we cannot risk a rushed Bill taking money off disabled people.
Dear @UKLabour MPs, We need you to sign the amendment. You cannot, in good conscience, vote for a Green Paper that will affect—quite literally—millions of the most vulnerable people in the country without an Impact Assessment. Work with us. Please sign now. Thanks, Everyone
Just to be clear PIP is not an out of work benefit. It is fundamental to understand the absolute basics when we reform the welfare system
It doesn't have to be this way... The DWP spent £50M+ fighting PIP appeals in 2023/24—and lost most of them. We’ve shown a better way. Let’s build a system that works. #DignityByDesign stripylightbulb.com/reform-of-the-…
Always so grateful for everything @MEFoggyDog is doing, please SHARE 🚨New: We’ve launched a groundbreaking framework for DWP M.E. benefits assessments. Less bias, more accuracy, better use of public funds. The DWP MUST listen to lived experience stripylightbulb.com/reform-of-the-…
Dear leaders, #BeSoAshamed of your silence, #BeSoAshamed that you have seen the images and videos that we have all seen, but YOU still choose to be silent. #FreePalestine
