My new book, The Joy of Poker, is now live on Amazon in paperback and Kindle. I held nothing back. The contents inside have created millions in profits for my clients while having them feel more confident in themselves than ever before—and now you can have that too.
If after a hand, you say: "It was a great bluff, just against the wrong person." It was not a great bluff.
If you've done lots of therapy or other coaching and still don't execute how you want, you're probably missing out on two very important cues. I covered this in my latest video: youtube.com/watch?v=gv9idM…
Wrote about this exact phenomenon and how to get out of it in The Joy of Poker. Celebrating your wins is a skill—one that almost nobody is taught, and keeps you in a cycle of never being able to enjoy your wins or feel fulfilled no matter how far you go.
As someone who gets stuck in deep, existential thought daily this is a highlight reel 😂😂
The one thing you could do to start winning more without changing anything else is to play from a state of high confidence no matter what. Very few can—but I outlined how it's done in my latest video: youtube.com/watch?v=MJYqn1…
The need to appear smart and competent leads to a lot of poor decisions in poker. If you want a huge edge, get rid of this need—become able to feel comfortable and confident while everyone around you thinks you're a complete idiot.
Your most regrettable poker decisions always look a little different, but always come from a similar emotional state. This is why no matter how much you know, if you're not able to stay present in that emotional state you will find a way to lose your money.
Want to level up mentally and crush your goals with clarity and joy? This might be the best book ever written on presence — whether you're a poker player, trader, or just want to win at life. 🧠🔥 Grab it here 👉 amazon.de/Joy-Poker-More… #Mindset #Poker #Trading #SelfImprovement

Emotions are not good or bad, they just are. It's your ability to accept and be present with them or not that determines whether you start to play good poker or bad poker.
As promised in The Joy of Poker: Win More, Be Happy. Check and check.

Poker is not an inherently miserable activity—it's a game like all the rest. What makes you miserable is being unable to deal with your emotions as you win and lose. But that's a skill that you can learn, if you want.
The quality if your thoughts and performance goes down the harder you try to think your way to an answer. When you're present, your best thoughts and ideas come to you—and this is where your best decisions come from.
Living in fear of losing creates far worse outcomes than actually losing. You're just wasting your time. But learn how to be present when the pain of losing comes, and it frees you up to actually play your best and win what you're capable of.
Signs that you're not present at the poker table include: * making plays you regret * trying to "make something happen" * unable to trust your instincts * jealous of other people's success Add them up and it gets real expensive.
The top performers in poker don't always know the answer—they get lost and have to scramble all the time just like everyone else. The difference is they're able to stay present and find a solution they're happy with where you can't.
Just put out my latest video: "Why you struggle to make big folds" If this is an issue costing you big and you want to resolve it, check it out here: youtube.com/watch?v=2KtFCY…
There is one version of you who says, "I will quit for the day when I'm down x dollars." There is another version of you who says, "Screw that I want my money back." Becoming un-present with your emotions at the poker table is how Version 2 takes over and blows all your money.
The "best day to play the main event" is the day you're 100% ready to be present with all the feelings in each spot that comes up. So for most of you, never.
When you don't celebrate your wins, you feel like you never won or did anything. This is you end up accomplishing a lot while still feeling like a fraud or impostor—and more winning doesn't make the feeling go away, it just makes it worse.
You will win more money at poker as you understand your opponents more deeply. What do they like and hate? What makes them uncomfortable? What sets them off and for how long? Once you know these things you can always be one step ahead.
