We did something crazy - we launched HUNDREDS of billboards for @Typesense across San Francisco! When I first visited SF in the late 2000s, what stood out to me were all the billboards from tech companies. Until then I had only seen billboards from random lifestyle brands, and…

Swag shopping ✅ If you’re headed to @LaraconUS next week, come get them from me in person!

If anyone wants some stock recommendations, I know a few people. LMK. CC: @nikitabier

Purely for old times' sake, I decided to google for a programming related question, instead of using ChatGPT & clicked on the first Stack Exchange link. I was greeted with a Google login popup covering some content on the top, and a cookie banner covering more content at the…
In Google Workspace if I click on “Report Phishing” it just forwards that email back to me, as one of the admins of the workspace So I basically spam myself twice if I click that 😂
Hi @gmail does the "report phishing" button do anything
"Call us for pricing" restaurant edition
I’m at a cafe in Seattle where there are no prices listed on the menu. I asked if there was anywhere I could see the prices and the worker replied: “No, we don’t have that.” Is this a new thing?

BREAKING: If you put "BREAKING" in your post it does better for no good reason
Signed up for a service and reached out to their support for something. Issue resolved, all good. At the end of our convo they say: Oh btw, we’re using Typesense for search. Love running into unexpected use cases in everyday life!
That said, I’m grateful for how dead simple deploying PHP web apps was when I first started with web dev. Seeing my first dynamic web page up and running behind a domain name with very little server admin involved was magical.
If Ruby were the first language taught in a programming curriculum, I wonder if those students would ever put up with the “line noise” (heard the term from @dhh in the @lexfridman podcast) that other languages’ syntax force you to just accept as in-escapable reality. Thank…
I’ve seen these kinds of spam emails land in our support inbox and always wondered what the scam was. Now I know. Thanks Tony!
A very smart, malicious attack was sent to me and I think it should be worth that everyone take notice. A thread. @troyhunt 1. It was sent to me disputing a charge on one of my websites, something that I would usually reply asking more details about the charge.

I used to just fire off `rake release` to release new versions of our Ruby gem without a second thought. But after meeting the friendly engineers at @RubyCentralOrg who run the infra behind Ruby gems at @railsconf f2f, running `rake release` hits different now
Microsoft should now acquire Cognition, and the circle will be complete
After the incredible time I had at @railsconf just booked my tickets to Amsterdam for @railsworld Who else is going to Rails World 2025?
If you’re familiar with what Rails and Laravel bring to the table, please go tell your JavaScript friends about @adonisframework so they too can experience the productivity gains of a batteries-included framework.
Just discovered this Reddit thread reddit.com/r/webdev/comme… The universe is slowly understanding and appreciating AdonisJS.
So many folks at @railsconf who I mentioned @typesense’s bootstrapped and revenue-funded journey to, suggested that I attend @MicroConf. I had heard of it before, but nothing like an in-person endorsement from multiple people. I’m now convinced I want to attend the next one.…
The last 5 minutes of the @railsconf closing keynote by @tenderlove left quite the impression on me, totally unexpectedly. Aaron made a strong case for why we should make time to program just for fun, with no particular agenda, sharing several of his own personal fun…
In addition to Sidekiq, I learnt at @railsconf that both @dnsimple and HoneyBadger are also fully bootstrapped and revenue-funded like Typesense. Was such a treat to talk to @aeden and Ben in person.
Got a chance to meet Mike Perham IRL who built @sidekiq as an open source, bootstrapped and revenue-funded company, at @railsconf today. Mike was another source of inspiration for me many many years ago when we had just started working on @typesense, that yes, may be there is a…
