In the @nytimes today, I argue that the United States should judge military action against Iran by the same standards against which the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action--aka the Iran Nuclear Deal--was assessed. GIFT LINK at end of thread. (1/7)

Mate, you can accuse me of many things, but supporting war with Iran is not one of them. nytimes.com/2025/06/19/opi…
Can you guys forget us (Iran) and focus on Ukraine? Striking Iran and killing Iranians is a joy for you guys not a catastrophe. Your lies killed 1100 Iranians and we will never forget this. I am sure the barbaric crimes and terrors you are supporting will haunt you one day!
lol. You only know about the “Ames process” because I wrote about it.
As pointed out to you before, making uranium metal is "easy", and, sure, it can be done at a university lab, but its further *refinement*, its *purification* needs a Los Alamos-like facility. (The Ames process produced uranium metal for reactor fuel, not weapons-grade HEU metal.)
Important piece from @james_acton32 about how to develop a better nuclear deterrence posture. cfr.org/report/optimal… James’ deep thinking on these matters is desperately needed at a time when deterrence debate at times sounds more like Cold War grab-bag posturing on autopilot.
