I really appreciate when people try to quantify how confident they are in their opinions. E.g. “I think X, and I’m very high confidence on it. 90%+” or “I slightly think X but I wouldn’t bet more than 2:1 on it.”
Excels are notoriously hard to parse. Even though they are machine readable, they end up as a flat string that loses semantic meaning of tables, styling and formulas. Agents can’t use it. We’ve solved that. Raw spreadsheets to perfect HTML, live now on the @chunkrai API.
The biggest learning I’ve had so far as an entrepreneur is that it’s crucial to align your incentives with your values. That’s what we’re trying to do everyday @huggingface by making sure we build systems and features to benefit (instead of being hurt) by more openness and…
Peter said a few things on the podcast that required me to mull on them for a few days before I really got them. This was one of them. Values and incentives both drive human behavior, but they can get easily muddled if we're not careful.
Had a fantastic conversation with @jaltma - he has this rare ability to draw out what truly drives his guests. We went deep on my obsession: how evolutionary biology and generalized Darwinism can unlock new ways of understanding technology entrepreneurship youtu.be/vRiblwiXt-Q?si…
Very excited to have @rauchg on the podcast this week. What should I talk to him about?
Christina is one of the founders who most effectively got help from investors who weren't even part of her company. Was cool to hear tactically about how she did it.
This week's Uncapped guest was @christinacaci, founder of Vanta. We talked about operating in a highly competitive space, what she thinks about investors, the nuts and bolts of building a company, and the mental game of being a founder. Hope you enjoy.
Of all the regrets of great founders, one of the most common I hear is allowing themselves to be taken out of the interview loop for all candidates too early. Christina says she should have waited until the third intervention from her team begging her to stop before she did 🤗

Uncapped or: How I Stopped Worrying and Learned to Love the Competition Great listen, awesome perspective from a founder that’s run the gauntlet and built a dominating company

To me, founder mode includes getting yourself genuinely excited about whatever the company needs next. Easy when it's product, harder when it's HR policy, but you figure it out.

My 5 year old started calling me Jack in public and I asked him why and he said “because when we’re in public I want people to know I’m a big kid but I’m still going to call you dada at home. Is that a deal?” 🥹
Last month, I had the opportunity of a lifetime to perform Hajj in Mecca. It was a powerful time to reflect on how I show up—in work and in life—especially in my interactions with founders, guided by values deeply rooted in my faith. Thanks to @jaltma for our conversation and…
Kleiner Perkins Partner — and @Thrive Global board member — @mamoonha recently returned from Hajj, the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca. In his own words: “Faith is really important to me, and it’s also deeply rooted in every encounter I have with every person. Part of the…
