We gave a close read to the new 80-page Israeli report on 10/7 sexual violence. What we found is that rather than present new evidence, it spends most of its time arguing that the current evidentiary standards are actually too rigorous. Incredible turn to take. Some excerpts:

🇧🇪I commend Belgium for arresting & interrogating Israeli war crimes suspects. The pressure to release them must be immense. Even if they escape justice, the precedent is set: universal jurisdiction applies. Others will follow, & war criminals will think twice before traveling.

To say this is historic would be an understatement. Israel has earned the ire of all good-meaning people across the world; entire towns razed, babies and elderly starved to death, children and women bombed, the lives of men cut short — justice is coming.

There is no statute of limitations for these crimes. As long as they live, well hunt them. We’re going to get all of these criminals, and this is an incredible step in the right direction.

Finally. Two Israeli soldiers have been arrested in Belgium facing accusations of war crimes in Gaza. The days of impunity for Israelis are coming to an end.

Justice in motion, after Brazil, and Peru, Belgium goes where no one ever went before and arrests two Israeli soldiers after our complaint against them. Belgium above all acknowledged its universal jurisdiction and this is the bigger news. #JusticeForGaza
