Celine Song’s MATERIALISTS is an old-fashioned romcom, the kind you have fun watching, the kind you will remember, the kind of real cinema. Dakota Johnson & Chris Evans are pure charm. Pedro Pascal is memorable, his charisma and appeal will drive you crazy, the screen is his.

When you see Sarah Michelle Gellar appear in I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER.

No fear. #OneBattleAfterAnother only in theaters September 26.
Official poster for SPLITSVILLE, starring Dakota Johnson, Adria Arjona, Kyle Marvin and Michael Angelo Covino. My review from Cannes.
Covino’s SPLITSVILLE is a witty comedy w/ sharp, well-formed dialogue. A dynamic script. Adria Arjona is amazing, riveting & charismatic in her role as a wife in crisis & Dakota Johnson gives you an interesting comic/acid performance. They both make this movie wonderful. #Cannes
The Toronto International Film Festival is looking more than interesting. #TIFF50

#FantasticFour is truly amazing w/ a striking retro-futuristic style, as is its action & visuals. Pedro Pascal fits & molds as a rational leader, this Reed Richards is mind-blowing. Vanessa Kirby brings emotional strength, Joseph Quinn dazzles & Ebon delivers a solid performance.

#IKnowWhatYouDidLastSummer is FRESH BLOOD. JKR’s direction injects modern energy into this classic. The young cast, led by Madelyn Cline, sparkle w/ chemistry. Jennifer Love Hewitt & Freddie Prinze Jr. connect w/ your past self and make you feel pure nostalgic. A barbaric sequel!

Stay with the one who looks at you like Sarah Michelle Gellar looks at Freddie Prinze Jr. #IKnowWhatYouDidLastSummer

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery will officially open the 69th BFI London Film Festival! Says our writer/director/fearless leader Rian Johnson: "London is the birthplace of the golden age of detective fiction and it's a thrill to be back!”
James Gunn’s #SUPERMAN is a fresh, optimistic & emotional vision that balances epic action w/ humanity under a magnificent colorful aesthetic framework. David Corenswet embodies the character w/ strength and tenderness & Rachel Brosnahan gives us her charisma & magnetic presence.

Sarah Michelle Gellar is getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. About time!
Where the hell is Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame?
#JURASSICWORLDREBIRTH is back with truly terrifying dinosaurs & tension in the air. The action is palpable & the visual effects are stunning. Scarlett Johansson leads with strength. Jonathan Bailey is genuinely surprising, bringing energy & freshness, the soul of the expedition.

My review of Emma Stone and Austin Butler in EDDINGTON from Cannes.
EDDINGTON. Emma Stone and Austin Butler, along with the other supporting cast, are in charge of the more human side of the film, incorporating small doses of humor and conveying some emotional complexity. They deliver solidly and are pitch-perfect. #Cannes2025
On the occasion of the premiere of Ari Aster’s EDDINGTON in LA, here is my review from Cannes.
Ari Aster’s EDDINGTON is a daring experiment that blends black comedy and social tension. Joaquin Phoenix delivers an intense magnetic performance & Pedro Pascal has an abysmal level of charisma. Darius Khondji’s cinematography is outstanding. A bold, pandemic satire. #Cannes2025
Emma Stone at the premiere of EDDINGTON in LA. It doesn’t lose its beauty.

THE SOCIAL NETWORK PART ll is in the works. Aaron Sorkin is set to write and direct.

28 YEARS LATER has a visceral intensity reminiscent of its predecessors. A chaotic atmosphere w/ a satisfying constant tension. Boyle maintains his raw visual style. Jodie Comer is pure strength & fragility. Aaron Taylor-Johnson is barbarically superb. An imperiously brutal film!

My review of 28 YEARS LATER in a few hours! They’re here! 👀

A good poster for a great movie. Ari Aster’s EDDINGTON, starring Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Emma Stone and Austin Butler.

#F1TheMovie is a mind-blowing visual spectacle that captures the adrenaline rush of racing perfectly w/ Hans Zimmer's orchestral epic that elevates the intensity & drama of F1. Brad Pitt & the cast in general are amazing. A vibrant movie, so open your DRS & go ahead and feel it.
