🎉 Some personal news: So I recently joined the PhD club! 🎓 A small girl from Chavakali had a big dream, and it got fulfilled. I graduated with a PhD in Mass Communication from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology @DiscoverJKUAT 's 42nd graduation ceremony.

Mr. Lawrence Mwangi, Deputy Director of Environment for @NairobiCityGov, presented the county's Air Quality Action Plan and its current implementation status, a crucial step towards a cleaner city.

A @MeteoKenya representative presented on advancing urban climate resilience, improving air quality, and promoting public health, highlighting the interconnectedness of these critical issues for @NairobiCityGov.

A representative from the Kenya Meteorological Department (@MeteoKenya) delivered a keynote on integrating air quality into the National Framework for Climate Services in Kenya, emphasizing the importance of a multi-hazard early warning framework.

Dr. Anderson Kehbila from @SEI_Africa introduced the dialogue's objectives, framing the critical need to integrate air quality management with climate risk governance to tackle #Nairobi's environmental challenges.

The dialogue kicked off with opening remarks from Mr. Robert Wabunoha of @UNEP_Africa and Maurice Kavai of @NairobiCityGov, setting the stage for a day of discussions on air quality and climate resilience in #Nairobi.
