Just got a very detailed email from a customer this evening at 5pm, Saturday July 5. A great reminder that while most of us are enjoying a great long weekend celebrating America, there are many men and women hard at work keeping the critical infrastructure around us running.…
Have passed a lot of big wind and solar energy projects on the road. I am a supporter of all upgrades to our power generation infrastructure, but I do think we are fooling ourselves thinking these projects are much better for the environment as compared to something like…

I enjoy cycling because of the mental challenge. Going hard isn’t fun. Normally I don’t want to. But always feel great when I do.

One of America’s greatest but undiscussed entrepreneurs is Ken Iverson. Need an episode, @FoundersPodcast!
How is it that the company with one of the largest cash piles ever and who had a head start on AI is not now leading AI or at least has a better Siri/virtual assistant product? Drives me crazy. I don’t even ask that much out of Siri and yet it still continually disappoints.
Got to walk a steel mill yesterday with a fantastic maintenance supervisor. Neatest part of the job!
If anyone will be at @reindsummit or in/around Detroit next week, let me know. Would love to meet!
My grandparents’ generation damaged their hearing in the factories. My parents’ damaged their hearing at rock shows. My generation is damaging ours from these:

Selling my car soon. Any tips on negotiating? The broker’s initial range that he threw out over the phone is about $1.5-2k below where I would ideally like to be.

I’ve started to refine my recruiting process for who I look to add to our team and even people I hang around outside work. Put aside specific skills (an added bonus). What I now look for more than anything is people with high agency. Are you mission oriented? Will you just…
I find way more cool engineers (aka the men and women who tend to be our customers, employees and vendors) on X than LinkedIn. I like both platforms, but definitely interesting.
