At today’s First Ministers Meeting, my fellow premiers and I met with Prime Minister @MarkJCarney to discuss Canada–U.S. relations, international trade, and nation-building priorities.

Today’s meetings with my fellow premiers covered important ground. We discussed diversifying international trade, advancing major infrastructure projects that support national security.

Canada’s Premiers met with the Canadian Nurses Association this morning. Nurses are the backbone of our healthcare system—especially in remote and northern communities. Thank you to all nurses for your skill, care, and dedication.

We zoomed from the Greater Toronto Area to Deerhurst in record time thanks to the capable Ontario Provincial Police @OPP team’s efficient motorcade. What a memorable ride.

Today I joined fellow Premiers for important discussions with Leaders of Canada’s National Indigenous Organizations. We focused on economic development and reconciliation sharing initiatives and opportunities to collaborate and advance the well-being of Indigenous communities.

I had the opportunity to meet with QC President Harry Flaherty, QIA President Olayuk Akesuk, and John Risley, Mike McNair and Sean Leet of the Arctic Economic Development Corp. We discussed infrastructure investments in Nunavut and working with Indigenous communities.
