30th International Symposium on the Organic Chemistry of Sulfur
We’re remembering Prof. Giuseppe (Pino) Capozzi and Prof. Alessandro Degl’Innocenti. The memorial in chaired by Maria Paola Bonaccorsi and Claudio Santi. They were amazing chemists and beloved mentors #ISOCS30

It’s our special pleasure to announce that Katherine Rodden University of Oxford, UK, and Tetsuo Narumi, University of Shizuoka, Japan were awarded the two poster prizes sponsored by the @ChemSocRev . We congratulate both on their success. #isocs30

We terminated the scientific program with the beautiful plenary lecture by Adrian Schwan about the significance of boron interactions with sulfoxides and sulfenate anions #ISOCS30

After the coffee break, Michaela Gulea gave an invited presentation about the synthesis of S- and N,S-heterocycles by gold-catalyzed cyclizations @MiGulea22 #ISOCS30

The morning continues with another invited lecture by Xuefeng Jiang reporting the transformation of inorganic sulfur-containing salts in several pharmaceutically relevant sulfurated compounds #ISOCS30

Invited speaker Paola Stagnaro presented novel macromolecular architectures for advanced photonics through up-cycling of waste sulfur #ISOCS30

Amazing plenary lecture by Carsten Bolm! He reported a wide variety of synthetic methodologies for obtaining sulfur-containing compounds #ISOCS30

Very nice dinner with old friendsin Florence at the ISOCS30 🙃 Thanks Stefano Menichitti for the wonferful organization.
Mingkai Wei reported the synthesis of sulfinamides through palladium-catalysed addition of aryl halides to N-sulfinylamines #ISOCS30 @Willis_Group

A lot of thiahelicenes appeared in this symposium! Moritz von Geyso presented the enantioselective Au-catalyzed synthesis of thia[5]- and thia[6]helicenes and their transformation into bowl-shaped pleiadenes #ISOCS30
