I did 7 tutorials giving feedback to students on our MSc courses at @BirkbeckUoL on their draft presentations and it reinforced my belief that the most important thing in any kind of assignment is understanding what is asked of you. (pic from boredpanda.com)

Great news that computational biology is being recognised by the Nobel committee. A good time to remember the pioneering work of Margaret Dayhoff and her Atlas of Protein Sequence and Structure (1965), a precursor to the establishment of the Uniprot and PDB databases.

An absolutely inspiring talk by @ProfSyK yesterday at the @ismb_london symposium. Really demonstrating how useful computational simulations can be in real Biology. It was the kind of talk that inspires early career researchers to get into a field. Thanks, Syma - a real treat.
